Hi, and welcome to Rural Theology. My name is Shanon, and I am a writer based in Oklahoma. I am a nursing student with an interest in a wide range of topics from Systematic Theology, Biblical studies, medical ethics, cultural and social issues, as well as poetry and music.

After receiving an undergraduate degree in theology at the University of Mobile, I pursued graduate studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. While I didn’t finish my Masters, I carried a love of theology with me ever since.

For a number of years afterward, I taught 6-12th grade English throughout rural Oklahoma. Now, I am studying to become an RN full-time. When I’m not studying or writing, I am spending time with my wife and two boys.
